There's no introduction required for this recipe - I'm sure I've done it before, but I 'll continue to until it's committed to your memory! When you're preparing the silverbeet, do it consciously, keeping your mind on the task and not drifting off to other thoughts - you'll notice the difference in flavour - I promise!
Boil the silverbeet in a large pan of salted water for 2 minutes. Drain thoroughly.
Cut garlic into slivers. Heat 1 tbs olive oil in a small pan to hot and fry the garlic until golden. Serve the garlic over the silverbeet.
Note: Silverbeet is sometimes known as spinach - it has large dark green leaves and fibrous white stalks. Nutritionally it's a marvel - rich in fibre, vitamins C, E, K, B groups vitamins, calcium, iron, magnesium, and zinc.
