Sardines belong to the category of oily fish, rich in Omega 3 fat. They are one of the fishiest fish and can easily handle the flavours of additional herbs and spices without masking their distinct taste.
Wipe the sardines clean.
Mix the other ingredients together in a small jar or bowl. Place the sardines in a glass dish and pour the marinade over the sardines to marinate for approx 1 hour.
Heat a BBQ plate and cook the sardines for 2 minutes each side.
Note: Studies have shown that cumin seeds may help to prevent many types of cancer, inhibit the growth of detrimental bacteria in the gut and lower elevated blood sugar levels.
