Frozen cranberries are perfect for this homemade cranberry sauce. It's naturally sweetened with apple concentrate making it a much healthier alternative to the commercial brands that use far too much refined sugar.
Add all the ingredients to a small pan. Slowly bring to the boil stirring regularly. Reduce to simmer and cook until the sauce reduces down to a jam like consistency (approx 40 minutes). Remove the cloves, cinnamon and orange rind and serve with turkey (see recipe list).
Note: Cranberries are a good source of tannin which may prevent the formation of plaque on the teeth and prevent bacteria attaching to the urinary tract, causing cystitis.
