Nigella seeds (often incorrectly called black cumin seeds) are miraculous little gems - they help hay fever, headaches, hair loss, asthma, that rundown feeling, even laziness. You'll often see them baked on top of Turkish bread - they have a lovely, unusual flavour and are great for health.
Dry roast the nigella seeds in a pan until fragrant. Set aside to cool.
Wash and dry the rocket and basil leaves. Mix the oil, vinegar and lime juice together with the sea salt. Arrange the salad leaves on a flat platter with the avocado slices on top. Sprinkle the dressing over the salad and top with the nigella seeds. Serve with slices of lemon, a liberal sprinkling of za'tar and olive oil.
