I have a recipe for pasta sauce that's sensational. Made with great love and care, the tomatoes are crushed with the hands to ensure the sauce is naturally sweet and left to simmer and reduce for 40 - 50 minutes. The effort is rewarded with rich tasting sauce. The discovery of a well know supermarket home brand organic pasta sauce with no additives or preservatives that tastes as good was initially irritating but let's face it, there are times when there's no time and with a healthy bottled replacement this meal and many others can be whipped up in minutes.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Brush the red pepper strips with a small amount of olive oil and roast in the oven for 15 minutes.
Spread the pasta sauce over the pizza base. Add the crushed garlic and chilli. Top with roasted pepper strips and green prawns.
Cook for 15 -20 minutes until the base is crispy.
Note: Tomatoes are one of the very few foods which contain more antioxidants once they're cooked.
