This easy swap is a no brainer for anyone who cares about good health and great taste. Sweet potato chips offer the same yum factor as potato chips but they are so much better for you. A 150g serve of sweet potato wedges amounts to only 720kj compared to 1938KJ for the same amount of commercial potato wedges! They are also a good source of vitamin A, betacarotene, fibre, with very little salt and fat and they are incredibly easy to make.
Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
Cut the sweet potato into wedges and place in a bowl.
Pour the oil into the bowl and toss the sweet potato around to cover the wedges in oil.
Line a baking tray with baking paper and add the sweet potato.
Place in the oven to cook for 25 to 30 minutes.
Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle them with sea salt.
