Free Healthy Recipe - Toddlers Muesli

Dairy free, Low fat, Low GI

This muesli is designed for toddlers under two, who can't yet properly chew raw whole oats or digest nuts and seeds. Its highly nutritious, no added sugar other than what's found in the dried fruit, and provides long lasting sustained energy which is important for busy toddlers. Don't be tempted to add more dried fruit, as it can stick to teeth causing tooth decay. Add fresh fruit for extra natural sweetness.

Ingredients
1 tablespoon raw wheatgerm
1 teaspoons sultanas
1 teaspoons dried apricots, finely diced
1 teaspoons dried pears, finely diced
Method

Whiz the oats for 5 seconds in a food processor to make them finer and easier to eat.

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Then store in an airtight container for 3-4 weeks. Serve with milk and a little fresh fruit.

Store in an airtight container for up to 4 weeks.
Don't be tempted to use instant oats as they are more processed and contain less nutrients.

Makes 5 servings (serve = 1/3 cup)
