Kimchi
Kimchi is a Korean side dish traditionally made with cabbage. It's fermented over a number of days with salt, spices and other vegetables. With the growing trend of fermented foods and how they benefit the gut, kimchi is now regarded as a health food and can be purchased in jars from health food stores, good delis, and selected greengrocers.
The healthy bacteria in kimchi, called lactobacilli, assists digestion and restores the balance of beneficial bacteria in the intestine.
