There are 4 major varieties of red seedless grapes grown in Australia. They are Globe, Crimson, Flame and Ralli all of which are available through most of Summer and Autumn. Their colour suggests more phytochemicals from the red pigment which can help to protect us from free radical damage to the body cells. Red seedless grapes are also a good source of vitamin C, but don't eat too many if you are trying to lose weight because they are also high in natural sugar.

Look for large bunches of grapes that are in tact with taut skin that is not wrinkled, shrivelled and blemished.
To Store:
Store at room temperature for the best flavour or, to keep for longer in the fridge in a plastic breathable container. Only wash them when you want to eat them as they will spoil quicker if they are stored wet.
